New Aus J PROFLO pumps fitted with Honeywell pressure switches for top reliability in RV, marine, agricultural and industry uses

New professional-grade water pressure pumps have been released by Aus J Hot Water Solutions, custom-engineered to maximise durability for applications such as RVs, motor and sail boats and work vehicles, as well as agricultural and industrial uses.

The compact PROFLO FLO 2202A diaphragm pump and larger PROFLO 4-Chamber series – all engineered for smooth operation and low power draw – each incorporate the results of a wealth of practical experience gained by Aus J as an Australian innovator and global exporter selling tens of thousands of its water technology products, including its Duoetto 12V/240V and GEN 3 12V/120V 10-litre water heaters.

Aus J Managing Director Jay King says the new compact PROFLO pump and larger 4-Chamber series respond to calls from OEM and DIY water technology customers for rugged, easily installed products that eliminate common pump bugbears, such as pressure switches constantly breaking down.

“We tested for three months 24/7 to ensure performance is absolutely top grade – without the big price tag.” – Aus J MD Jay King

Accessories include pump wiring harness with fuses and SAE plug, left; SEAFLO accumulator tank, centre; and SEAFLO wiring harness with off-on switch

“We incorporated Honeywell pressure switches in the PROFLO pumps, so we could be confident they would do an outstanding job. Then we tested the complete pumps by running them for three months 24/7 to ensure performance is absolutely top grade – without the big price tag,” says Jay, an ardent RV and work vehicle adventurer who drives his product to the limit over conditions from outback to alpine.

PROFLO pumps are designed for intermittent, on-demand duty cycles, but the extreme testing was conducted to ensure they can also stand being run continuously for short times, depending on the operating environment, says Jay.

A feature of the design and accessories was easy installation, with a plug-in connector feature with all models eliminating the need for laborious and time-consuming cutting and fitting wiring. The product range includes:

  • Smaller PROFLO FLO 2202A pump – with a flow rate of 4 litres PM – retailing in Australia for $80 plus delivery. An optional HYAT-075-125-01 0.75 L accumulator tank retails for $75 plus delivery The accumulator delivers maximum pressure of 8.6 Bar from a pre-charge pressure of 0.7 bar

  • Larger PROFLO 4-Chamber series, which retail in Australia for $149 (240V), $145 (24V), $139 (12V) plus delivery. Distributor inquiries are welcome.

Features of the FLO 2202A pump and of the larger PROFLO 4-Chamber series include:

  • A time-saving plug-in easy connection system to link with power sources. This convenient arrangement saves time and money for OEMs, DIY users and agricultural and industrial users alike, by quickly facilitating installation without additional costly and cumbersome fixed hard wiring.
  • Self-priming with run-dry protection, for heightened reliability and safety of land, marine, static and mobile applications. The pump runs dry without damage.
  • Exceptional noise levels, under 5 dB, for operator comfort and OH&S, as well as compliance with relevant CE certification standards. The product is guaranteed against faulty workmanship for a year.
  • Secure four-point rubberised mounting feet to facilitate versatile mounting options for the compact pump (162 mm long).
  • Construction from durable materials suitable for a broad range of chemicals in addition to water, for uses such as liquid transfer, spraying, filtration and dispensing (pump should be cleaned after use with chemicals other than water – not suitable for flammable liquids or use around flammable vapours)
  • 5.5 Bar operation for the PROFLO FLO 2202A, with an optional 0.75 L accumulator tank that delivers maximum pressure of 8.6 Bar / 125 psi from a pre-charge pressure of 0.7 Bar .
  • The PROFLO 4-Chamber series features flow rates from 11.3 litres PM PM to 18.9 Litres PM at 3.7 Bar pressure, with amp draws from 0.8 to 7.5 and voltage capacities of 12, 24 and 240V.
  • Additional features of the PROFLO 4-Chamber self-priming series include a built-in check valve and Santoprene™ diaphragm. Santoprene is a high performance thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) that combines the flexibility and sealing performance of vulcanised rubber with durable, lightweight, recyclable performance and resistance to extreme temperatures, chemicals, and UV rays.
  • The patented design of the PROFLO 4-Chamber series (which can be installed new or retrofitted) delivers smooth, consistent flow while drawing its low current. The balanced motor design incorporates precision ball bearings for long life and the motor is equipped with an integral thermal breaker. All RV and marine duty pumps feature sealed switches and are finished with electro coating to inhibit corrosion.
